Looking for an Artist

Denizens was originally set up to be a graphic novel series.  I could not find an artist dedicated to a long project so I turned to changing it into a normal novel.

It just doesn't feel right, so i'm going back on the hunt for an artist.

I have money to pay, do you have the time and talent to commit?

Experimentation

Re-writing the beginning a bit to see if it grabs some more attention.  The update will come next week, however the basic change is Eric awaking to The Seven in his room on the first page.  The beginning is the hardest part.

In the meantime, you can read Chapter 1 and 2 as they currently exist, leave some feedback and help make it better overall.

Structural Evolution

When I first started writing Denizens, it was in comic script form.  Not being able to find a steady artist within my price range I scrapped it and came back to it in novel form.

It started with some events that are currently in Chapter 2, but expanded upon.

Then in novel form it actually started with events that are currently planned for Chapter 3.  Out of everyone I asked to take a read and give opinion, only one responded.  He suggested that there wasn't enough background for the main character to care about him.  I re read everything and agreed with the opinion.

Now comes the problem of not much conflict in giving the character background on the first page worth (as I'm told by the same person).  As it may deter people from reading further.  Seeing as how I have over 200 viewers and no comments so far, I may have to agree with that as well.

Since this is a living novel there is bound to be evolution as part of the process.  If anyone out there is lurking about, please, don't be shy.  I would love to hear your opinions!

Artwork - Eric

Here we have Eric Barlow drawn and colored by the great and talented Tazio Bettin.  It blatantly hints at Eric is going to become much more than a guy with weird dreams who wants to protect his friends.
